Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY
The Sourcing and Procurement Analyst position is integral to managing local stakeholder relationships, overseeing supplier performance, and executing sourcing and contracting activities.

This role involves collaborating with local stakeholders to facilitate essential discussions and lead sourcing and contracting initiatives, while also managing the tactical supplier performance process and development programs to enhance value for Aequor Technologies stakeholders.

The primary focus is on the Kalamazoo MI site, with key categories including Capital Construction, Equipment, and Engineering Services.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Local Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with local teams to identify their procurement needs and provide insights on best practices and procedures.
- Address and resolve day-to-day procurement inquiries from stakeholders.
- Participate in significant internal and external discussions at the local facility.
- Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and deliver value.
- Assist in implementing sourcing strategies that reflect company goals based on requirements from internal stakeholders, including business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Engage in discussions on essential processes needed to coordinate across local teams and stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal departments, such as operations, finance, and legal, to ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Support stakeholders with project documentation review, guidance, and tracking of completion.

Operational Excellence
- Assist in executing initiatives aimed at optimizing costs through local sourcing.
- Identify and assess local suppliers, negotiate favorable pricing, and monitor cost savings achieved.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to achieve cost savings, enhance productivity, and improve supplier performance.
- Analyze spend data to uncover cost-saving opportunities and devise strategies to streamline procurement processes.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while upholding quality standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to procurement activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and delivery reports.
- Support the execution of the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) process.
- Lead or assist in resolving minor supplier payment issues.
- Manage site-based contracts and assist in negotiating bid exceptions or sole source items.
- Develop content for RFx execution in the eSourcing system.

Supplier Performance Management
- Facilitate the supplier performance process to maximize value for Aequor Technologies stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Support ongoing supplier interactions and metrics discussions, identifying areas for improvement and necessary changes.
- Conduct market research to identify potential local suppliers and create a supplier database to streamline procurement processes.
- Track supplier Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance and develop action plans as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations & Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Experience working on cross-functional projects.
- Ability to coordinate business operations and manage client engagement effectively.
- Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as operations, finance, and legal teams, to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Proven experience in identifying local suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing, and tracking cost savings.
- Ability to prepare materials for presentation to executive leadership.
- Experience in maintaining procurement documentation, including supplier contracts and purchase orders.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity and changing market conditions.
- Strong communication skills in business English.
