We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist III to join our team at Veracity. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance Management: Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with EH&S regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and local regulations.
- Program Development: Design and implement EH&S programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment, including training and education programs for employees.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess hazards and risks in the workplace, and develop strategies to mitigate and control them.
- Communication: Communicate EH&S information and policies to employees, management, and other stakeholders.
- Training and Development: Provide training and education to employees on EH&S policies and procedures, and ensure that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Natural Science, Engineering, Emergency Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in environmental health and safety, risk management, or directly related field.
- Certifications: Healthcare Environmental Manager Certificate, Industrial Hygienist Certificate, Health Safety Professional Certificate, Safety Professional Certificate, or Associate Safety Professional Certification within 24 months of hire.
