About the Role

The Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University is seeking a highly qualified Principal Investigator to lead a team of cancer researchers in finding innovative techniques to cure cancer. This is an exciting opportunity for a distinguished researcher to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain extramural grant funding for cancer research projects.
  • Contribute a strong record of publications in high-impact and peer-reviewed journals.
  • Build and lead an independent research program while mentoring trainees and junior faculty.
  • Engage in teaching activities and graduate school programs that are oncology-focused.
  • Collaborate with other Georgia Cancer Center faculty on research and teaching endeavors.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent life or natural science from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of four years' experience in a research setting.
