Job Title: Stewardship Coordinator, Data and Special Projects

Georgetown University's Office of Advancement is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Stewardship Coordinator, Data and Special Projects to join our team. As a key member of our Stewardship team, you will play a critical role in building a culture of gratitude and ensuring that donors are appreciated, informed, and engaged.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a variety of projects core and critical to the work of the Stewardship team, including mass digital and physical mailing projects, data management, project management, and editing and reviewing communications.
  • Marshaling and organizing data from a variety of sources, you will support the creation of accurate and effective reports and communications with donors, ensuring that these communications demonstrate gratitude and communicate the impact of donors' investment in the university.
  • Lead the tracking of all gift agreements, stewardship addenda, and gift documentation as gifts are received from donors to Georgetown University, and marshals data from a variety of sources (donor gift information, financial data on endowed funds, campus and medical center units benefiting from gifts) to ensure that accurate reporting to donors can take place.
  • Perform ongoing review and update information in Salesforce database to ensure accurate and effective communication with donors.
  • Respond to requests to review historical gift agreements or gift documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and mailings to donors that demonstrate gratitude and communicate the impact of their investment in the university and the medical center.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of professional or a combination of graduate studies or applicable volunteer experience
  • Proficient in MS Office computer software applications, particularly Excel, and Google Drive Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact well with others
  • Analytical, well-organized, able to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, and consistently meets all deadlines
  • Able to assimilate data, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and work independently
  • Able to effectively manage projects that are both data-driven and relationship-driven
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, with strong critical thinking skills and ability to innovate
  • Sensitive, personable, and experienced in customer relations skills
  • Able to initiate and complete projects and provide donor support with little supervision, exercising good judgment
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • A strong desire to contribute to and participate in the mission of the Office of Advancement
  • Accuracy in materials preparation, dependability, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience working with donors
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases or the Salesforce platform
  • Experience with project management platforms
  • Prior experience with Stewardship, including reporting, donor recognition, and acknowledgments, is a plus
