The City of East Moline is seeking a vigilant Aquatic Safety Supervisor to ensure the well-being of guests at our water facility. The Aquatic Safety Supervisor will communicate safety protocols to visitors, alert them to hazardous conditions, and be ready to act in case of emergencies.
To excel in this role, you must quickly evaluate situations and make sound decisions regarding the safety of swimmers. Ideal candidates possess outstanding communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising activities within the aquatic facility.
- Communicating and enforcing safety rules, regulations, and policies to protect patrons.
- Monitoring specific areas to identify potential hazards.
- Alerting swimmers to unsafe conditions.
- Maintaining order in swimming zones.
- Responding to emergencies and executing rescues for swimmers in distress.
- Administering first aid as necessary.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of all facility areas.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Must be at least 15 years old.
- Completion of lifeguard training is required.
- A minimum of 1 month of relevant experience.
- Certification in First Aid, AED, and CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to interact effectively with individuals of various ages and backgrounds.
- Physically fit, strong, agile, and coordinated.
- Must successfully pass a mandatory background investigation.
