Medical Assistant Certified

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant I Certified to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine clinical and administrative tasks, including rooming patients, collecting vital signs, and preparing exam rooms.
- Assist providers with patient care activities, such as administering medications and performing procedures.
- Collect and document patient information, including medical history and current medications.
- Provide patient education and support, including explaining treatment options and after-visit instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Medical Assistant certification by a recognized organization, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is preferred.
