Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide routine clinical and administrative support to providers and other healthcare team members in an outpatient clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rooming and intake process, collecting and documenting patient data, including vital signs, medical and social history, and current medication list.
  • Assist providers with treatments, examinations, and procedures, and collect specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed.
  • Administer medications under the direction of a provider and perform tests, such as EKG and eye exams, under the direction of a provider.
  • Review patient records to determine whether patients require routine health screenings and ensure exam and treatment rooms are properly stocked and maintained.
  • Provide patients with after-visit instructions and educational materials as directed.
  • Assist with patient registration, check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Answer clinic telephone and assist with in-basket under the direction of a provider or nurse.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant certification by a recognized organization, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Prior medical assistant or medical assistant externship experience preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The operating hours for this role are Monday-Friday 8a-5p. This position qualifies for a $5,000 incentive.
