The State Center Community College District is seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Director of Administrative Services to lead the administrative services team. - Develop, implement, and monitor work plans to achieve goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of and monitor performance against the annual department and college budget.
- Manage and direct the performance of managers and staff.
- Direct and oversee the selection of staff.
- Establish performance requirements and personal development targets for direct reports.
- Regularly monitor performance and provide coaching for performance improvement and development.
- Recommend compensation.
- Hear and act on grievances.
- Subject to concurrence by senior management and Human Resources, approve or take disciplinary action, up to and including termination, to address performance deficiencies, in accordance with Personnel Commission Rules, Board policies, Administrative Regulations, Human Resources procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- At least seven years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including budgeting analysis/control or business management for a large governmental or educational organization, at least two of which were in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Experience in a California community college district is preferred.

Employees work in a typical office environment where the noise level is quiet. The employee may be required to travel to locations other than assigned work site and to adjust to work schedule changes and requirements to work overtime.
