Job Summary

This is a management and cultivation role responsible for maintaining a healthy worm population to produce high-quality worm castings. The position involves procurement of operational supplies, planning, coordinating, and directing the operation of a worm farm. The successful candidate will have experience in leadership and supervisory roles, with a strong background in manufacturing, farming, or administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with plant manager and leaders to meet expected output goals and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Determine the frequency of turning worm boxes and inspect worm inputs, boxes, and castings.
  • Supervise staff assigned to work in worm casting operations and make reports on time, equipment, materials, and production.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
  • Manage data in spreadsheets and reports, and perform other duties related to plant operations and procurement.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required.
  • 4 years' experience in leadership/supervisory role, with demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading a team/department.
  • Manufacturing/farming/administrative experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP preferable.
