Job Summary

We are currently looking to hire full-time and part-time Veterinary Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Responsibilities
  • Room patients and assist with surgical procedures
  • Operate equipment and perform bloodwork and x-rays
  • Provide excellent animal handling and restraint
  • Assist with client education and communication
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • 6 months or more of veterinary experience in general practice, shelter, research, or boarding facility
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint
  • Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
