Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team at PETS Referral Center in Berkeley. As a key member of our emergency veterinary hospital, you will provide exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Veterinarians and other staff members in providing medical care to patients
  • Restraining animals safely using stress-free handling techniques
  • Work collaboratively and positively with all coworkers to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients and medical care to outpatients
  • Operate in-house laboratory equipment to provide accurate results
  • Take digital radiographs safely and effectively
  • Calculate drug dosages and administer medications via various routes
  • Perform catheterization (venous, urinary) and possess advanced emergency skills
  • Comfortable with all aspects of emergency medicine and able to communicate effectively with clients
