We have a long history of providing excellent service to our community.Who are we looking for?Please have a positive personality, be capable of effective communication, enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, multi-task like a pro, and have a well-rounded skill set and solid knowledge base. As we are a 24-hour emergency hospital please be willing to work outside of the boring 9am-5pm weekday schedule. We prefer someone with at least one year of experience working as a technician in a veterinary hospital.Responsibilities include:Assisting Veterinarians and other staff membersRestraining animals safely using stress-free handling techniquesWorking collaboratively and positively with all coworkersProvide nursing care to hospitalized patients and medical care to outpatientsSuccessfully use all in house laboratory equipment to provide accurate resultsSafely and effectively take digital radiographsBe able to calculate drug dosagesGiving medications via all prescribed routes: PO, SC, IM, IVProficiency with catheterization (venous, urinary)Possess or develop advanced emergency skillsComfortable with all aspects of emergency medicineEffectively care for and communicate with clientsBenefits:We are committed to your well-being and offer a comprehensive compensation package.
