Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive personality, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a 24-hour emergency hospital, we require our team members to be flexible and willing to work outside of traditional hours.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Veterinarians and other staff members in providing high-quality patient care
  • Restraining animals safely using stress-free handling techniques
  • Work collaboratively and positively with all coworkers to achieve common goals
  • Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients and medical care to outpatients
  • Successfully use in-house laboratory equipment to provide accurate results
  • Safely and effectively take digital radiographs
  • Calculate drug dosages and administer medications via various routes
  • Proficiency with catheterization (venous, urinary)
  • Possess or develop advanced emergency skills and be comfortable with all aspects of emergency medicine
  • Effectively care for and communicate with clients
