Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

Job Description: This position involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and efficient medication administration. You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize pharmaceutical care and contribute to the development of policy and procedures related to medication use.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze medication usage patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce medication errors and adverse events.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Conduct training sessions for healthcare staff on medication management best practices.
  • Assist with research projects and publications related to medication safety and optimization.
  • Advise on the development of formulary and therapeutic guidelines.
  • Engage with patients and families to educate them on medication-related topics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Alabama.
  • Controlled Substances certificate.
  • IV certification within three months of employment.
