Job Overview

Collaborate with departmental leaders to evaluate the financial implications of intricate business decisions. Responsible for collecting, summarizing, and analyzing essential data to conduct these evaluations. Communicate findings effectively to key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of regular financial reports and various analyses to accurately document all financial activities.
  • Conduct financial assessments on complex business projects.
  • Aid in the development of forecasts and strategic business plans.
  • Gather and verify data from internal systems and external sources as required.
  • Lead initiatives to analyze system data to identify trends and insights.
  • Execute comprehensive analysis work and generate insights that enhance shareholder value, including financial, market, and commodity pricing analyses.
  • Create training materials for business managers to facilitate understanding of financial impacts related to decision-making.
  • Support financial alignment of Restock Kroger across business units and workstreams.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly and periodic progress reporting processes.
  • Exhibit leadership within team structures and activities.
  • Help managers identify capabilities and processes that promote continuous improvement.
  • Act as the financial lead for the business in collaboration with enterprise teams: Supermarket Divisions, Accounting groups, Capital Management, Audit, specialty divisions, and other Operational Finance teams.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of cash flow analysis.
  • Ability to execute essential functions of the position with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Hyperion Essbase.
  • Capacity to prioritize and multitask while delivering accurate and timely results.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in business administration or CPA license, or currently pursuing degree or certification.
  • Experience in retail or related industries.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, quantitative analysis, or similar relevant fields.
  • Familiarity with Kroger systems including Oracle ERP, KCMS, Essbase, Business Objects, and Quicksales.
