Position Summary:

The Lead Financial Analyst will oversee daily financial operations, addressing any accounting or fiscal challenges that arise, along with month-end reconciliations and postings. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker with a collaborative spirit, demonstrating enthusiasm and energy in their approach. Key responsibilities include:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Independently address and resolve financial discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive and current operational procedures for all relevant functions.
  • Review all financial transactions, ensuring correct account allocation and accurate supporting documentation.
  • Prepare, record, and manage accounts receivable and cash transactions.
  • Organize and file daily financial records appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and files in an orderly fashion.
  • Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies.
  • Manage fixed assets, prepaid expenses, revenue recognition, and accrual accounting.
  • Collaborate with promotion coordinators to address billing disputes and payment issues.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with quarterly tax submissions, commissions, and bonuses.
  • Support the Financial Controller in annual budgeting, accruals, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and take on additional responsibilities as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; approximately 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable is preferred. Strong communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency are essential.
  • Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
  • Capability to mentor and collaborate effectively within a larger team.
  • Proficiency in intermediate-level mathematics (calculating figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective delegation and utilization of team members.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; typing speed of at least 55 wpm is required.
