Key Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst is tasked with conducting intricate financial assessments and driving enhancements across Headquarters divisions within the Bancorp.

This role acts as the financial authority for all Headquarters functions, ensuring that the information requirements necessary for sustained growth are met.

The focus is on delivering insightful analyses and strategic recommendations to facilitate business expansion. Additionally, this position plays a pivotal role in mentoring and developing junior staff members.


Accountability for risk management is paramount, involving open dialogue about ideas and concerns, while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Upholding the highest standards of integrity for customers and colleagues is essential, ensuring that actions foster a positive customer experience.

Within the Bank's risk framework, achieving results involves the continuous identification, evaluation, management, monitoring, and reporting of various risks.

Essential Duties

- Spearhead the identification of critical business factors influencing all business lines.

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of both current and emerging issues, applying this knowledge to assist business leaders in driving growth.

- Formulate recommendations and action plans aimed at supporting growth while mitigating identified risks.
- Take a leading role in executing financial analyses and influencing business outcomes.
- Prepare and scrutinize monthly reports for all business lines and affiliates, investigating and documenting any anomalies.
- Update existing schedules and reports to reflect changes in information.
- Document, assess, and enhance report designs and processes to ensure analytical tools evolve with business needs.
- Develop trend analyses and quantitative reports to identify business trends.
- Oversee the documentation of financial plans and analyses, ensuring they are presented appropriately for senior management meetings.
- Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and management across Bancorp Finance, affiliates, and all business lines.
- Serve as the financial leader across all business lines and affiliates.
- Participate actively in meetings to stay informed about current and emerging issues and risks in respective areas of focus.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.

- Play a key role in preparing and analyzing the annual profit plan and rolling forecasts for all business lines.

- Analyze business performance, recommend improvements, and track progress, with success measured by tangible outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with CFOs to develop metrics and variance analyses of actual results, assisting in the creation of presentations and discussion documents that highlight business challenges and opportunities.
- Aid CFOs in automating data collection, analysis, and communication processes.
- Provide training and mentorship to less experienced analysts.
- Allocate tasks and review the work of junior staff.
- Collaborate with team members to establish and achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or CPA is preferred. A thorough understanding of GAAP is highly desirable.
- Typically requires a minimum of seven years of experience in accounting or finance, either in industry or public accounting, with a comprehensive understanding of all business lines within the Bancorp.
- Proficiency in MS-Windows and related PC applications is essential, along with a willingness to learn mainframe applications and automated data analysis tools.

This position demands exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
