Primary Objectives

The Client Relations Specialist will perform essential customer service functions aligned with departmental and organizational goals. This includes:

  • Engaging daily with clients to prepare quotes, manage data entry, and follow up on orders, ensuring timely resolution of any complaints to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Training fellow team members on daily operations, including the preparation of requests for quotes (RFQs) and adherence to proper formatting standards.
  • Processing strategic quotes for RFQs and collaborating directly with Product Managers, Buyers, and Account Managers.
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and various internal departments, including Shipping, Planning, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
  • Managing large datasets and coordinating necessary documentation for the Customer Support team.
  • Preparing client quotes that encompass pricing and delivery timelines, coordinating with relevant departments when necessary.
  • Accepting and processing client orders, ensuring accurate booking and necessary adjustments based on client requests.
  • Conducting thorough contract reviews and adhering to all sales procedures.
  • Maintaining organized sales documentation, including purchase orders, sales orders, and all relevant correspondence.
  • Addressing initial product rejections or documentation issues by coordinating with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Collaborating with the finance department to resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of Howmet's product offerings and competitor products.
  • Occasionally visiting clients in coordination with Account Managers.
  • Understanding client terms and conditions, including long-term agreements.
  • Providing mentorship and training to junior team members.
  • Supporting team members in their absence to ensure continuity of service.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing stress effectively.
  • Exhibiting strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Typing speed of 50+ words per minute.
  • Familiarity with internal systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English effectively.

  • Understanding of distributor accounts and related agreements.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Access to export-controlled items is a condition of employment.
