Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate architectural plans, specifications, and proposals to create comprehensive time, cost, and labor estimates for diverse projects.
  • Develop detailed estimates for commercial construction, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary details for accurate estimates.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential challenges and formulate effective mitigation strategies.
  • Engage in the bid preparation and submission process, ensuring all estimates are precise, competitive, and delivered punctually.
  • Maintain a thorough database of materials and labor costs by tracking and documenting all estimation records.
  • Provide expert consultation on planning, scheduling, and cost management during the preconstruction phase.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance construction cost estimating practices.

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating, focusing on commercial projects, healthcare construction, and educational facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in bidding and preconstruction processes is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and relevant computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate estimates and proposals clearly.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for anticipating potential issues and crafting effective solutions.
