About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our team at Acuity International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and reviewing cost estimates for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software and techniques.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and quality control on cost estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support cost estimates.
  • Prepare variance analyses and other reports as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in cost estimating, cost consulting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in commercially available cost estimating software.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office products and online collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification in a relevant field (e.g. PE, CCP, PMP).
  • Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is normally performed in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
