Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Construction Estimator to become a vital part of our team. The Construction Estimator will be tasked with creating precise cost estimates and bids for various construction endeavors, including commercial ground-up and healthcare projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine architectural plans, specifications, proposals, and other documents to formulate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
  • Develop comprehensive, multi-disciplinary estimates for commercial ground-up, healthcare, and educational construction projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary details and compile estimates.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Engage in the bid preparation and submission process, ensuring all estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted punctually.
  • Maintain thorough records of all estimation documentation, creating a detailed database of materials and labor costs.
  • Offer insights on planning, scheduling, and cost control methods during the preconstruction phase.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure best practices in construction cost estimating.

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly in commercial ground-up, healthcare, and educational projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in bidding and preconstruction processes is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of construction processes, materials, and legal standards.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities, with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and relevant computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of presenting estimates and proposals clearly.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
