Join Our Team as a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist

Are you an analytical thinker with extensive experience in systems engineering, eager to contribute to critical defense initiatives? We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist to join our Systems Engineering Group within the Force Projection Sector.

In this role, you will play a vital part in developing and evaluating requirements, crafting architectures, enhancing analysis tools, formulating test plans, and interpreting test data. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting trade studies, requirements analysis, functional analysis, and performance assessments for the development of strategic weapon systems.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing thought leadership in systems engineering, focusing on requirements analysis, concept and technology development, risk assessments, and test and evaluation for strategic deterrent systems.
  • Leading and coordinating research, studies, and analyses on current and future weapon system capabilities and performance.
  • Delivering formal presentations to stakeholders and contractors, effectively communicating proposed concepts and analysis results.
  • Producing comprehensive reports that consolidate concept definitions, requirements, analysis results, and technical recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering for the design, development, or evaluation of complex weapon systems.
  • Proficiency in early concept development, requirements analysis, design, testing, evaluation, and risk assessment.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for short visits to sponsor offices and contractor sites.
  • Possession of an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • An advanced degree in systems engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with missile systems and familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, Navy Strategic Systems programs, and/or Air Force ICBM programs.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering software, particularly model-based systems engineering tools like Magic Draw and DOORS.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance is a plus.
