Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Archdiocese of Washington. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Office of the General Counsel, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage administrative functions and daily workflow in the Office of the General Counsel
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in performing administrative tasks
  • Track and file a high volume of correspondence/documents
  • Collaborate with ADW departments, parishes, schools, and ministries to assist the ADW legal staff in responding to legal matters
  • Assist with litigation matters, contract reviews, and immigration matters
  • Respond to inquiries and exercise discretion and professional courtesy in responding to procedural questions and referring legal questions to an attorney
Requirements
  • Practicing Catholic who supports the teachings of the Church
  • Multitasking abilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to exercise discretion with confidential information and documents
  • Experience in working with high levels of correspondence and documentation
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. The successful candidate will be able to manage and analyze large amounts of data, and have excellent writing and communication skills.
