About the Role

We are seeking a skilled RN Coordinator to join our team at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with surgeons on procedures, schedules, and specific requests
  • Coordinate workflow and equipment with vendors
  • Assist staff with targeted in-services and unit-based education
  • Work towards operating room metrics and goals
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to the team
  • Support the development of TIP RNs, RNs, and senior RNs
  • Participate in presenting in-services for staff
  • Monitor inventory, instruments, and equipment
  • Prepare and verify supplies and equipment lists for surgical procedures
  • Maintain and update preference cards
  • Act as a board runner (charge nurse) when coverage is needed

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course upon hire
  • 1 year Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
Preferred Qualification
  • National Certification in area of specialty upon hire
