We are currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused Security Program Specialist 2 (SPS 2) to become a vital member of our team. This position involves delivering exceptional support to our clients and embarking on a fulfilling career journey with ManTech.

The Security Program Specialist will offer comprehensive security assistance within a multifaceted and dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:
The SPS 2 will deliver program security assistance to the relevant security office, executing assigned tasks to support a diverse and intricate organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Addressing various security matters in collaboration with different directorates and offices, focusing on physical, personnel, operational, technical, industrial, and information system security.
  • Providing guidance to defense contractors across all industrial security domains.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently.
  • Reviewing and preparing necessary security documentation.
  • Coordinating agreements and memorandums related to security operations.
  • Demonstrating experience in program protection and classified programs.


Position Requirements:
Candidates should possess either a high school diploma with 8 or more years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree with 3 or more years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree with 6 or more years of experience. Additional qualifications include:

  • Experience in intelligence community or Department of Defense security across multiple areas.
  • Ability to navigate complex and sensitive security issues with thoroughness and discretion.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with government agencies and mission partners.
  • Identifying and evaluating sources for classification determinations and resolving security classification challenges.
  • Providing sound risk-managed security recommendations to program managers and supervisors.
  • Conducting classification reviews and analyzing intricate information to make informed decisions.
  • Delivering clear and effective presentations to diverse audiences, including senior decision-makers.
  • Managing competing priorities and balancing long-term projects with immediate tasks.
  • Experience collaborating with industrial security teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant directives and instructions from the intelligence community.
  • Offering guidance to junior security personnel.


Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with exceptional interpersonal skills who can communicate effectively in both small and large group settings will be favored.


Security Requirements:
An active TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.


Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and effectively communicate with peers and senior personnel. Regular operation of office equipment, such as computers and copiers, is expected. For positions requiring access to controlled technology or software, employment is contingent upon verifying U.S. person status or obtaining necessary licenses.
