We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Program Specialist to provide essential security administration and program support within a multifaceted organization. This position is vital for ensuring compliance and effective security measures under the guidance of the Program Security Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address a variety of security matters in collaboration with customer directorates and offices, focusing on physical, personnel, operational, technical, and information security.
  • Assist defense contractors with comprehensive industrial security practices.
  • Conduct Security Classification Reviews and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate agreements and memorandums related to security operations.
  • Provide guidance on program security policies and personnel security issues, including conducting briefings and onboarding support.
  • Support security assessments and visits, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Review and validate access requests for classified information.
  • Offer security guidance to program managers and assist with travel requirements as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Proficient in implementing security directives and policies relevant to the Intelligence Community.
  • Thorough understanding of security policies and procedures within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience in providing risk-managed security recommendations to support mission objectives.
  • Ability to deliver clear and effective presentations on complex security topics.
  • Familiarity with IT account management and security oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial security practices and oversight.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of system acquisition lifecycle security requirements.
  • Experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) security policies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret security policies and provide guidance to various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying security guidance to diverse audiences.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and effectively communicate with team members and senior personnel. Proficiency in operating office equipment is essential.
