Job Overview

Under the guidance of management and physician leadership, the Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for executing and supervising tasks related to clinical operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the physician/provider by delivering primary healthcare and managing patient care.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to streamline operations and enhance patient flow.
  • Engage with external healthcare facilities and agencies regarding patient care and insurance matters.
  • Maintain current competencies and effectively communicate with leadership and accreditation bodies about processes and workflows.
  • Perform front office responsibilities to ensure coverage as necessary.
  • Provide assistance in other departments or locations as required.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills and promote a model of patient and family-centered care.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification in LPN, EMT, ER Tech, or paramedic is required.
  • Nursing students from an accredited registered or licensed practice nurse program may be considered after initiating clinical coursework.
  • Completion of a clinical rotation or equivalent experience is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required upon hire.
