About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Contract Specialist to join our team at Genius Road, LLC. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing contracts, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Provide technical assistance to program staff and contractors regarding contract procedures, prepare, review, track, and process purchase orders, and maintain contract file information into contract management databases.
  • Procurement Strategies: Work with internal and external partners to support the design, research, preparation, and execution of the state program plans, assist with project costing, and provide input into budget justifications and budget revisions for contracts.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Conduct appropriate background investigations prior to contract execution and upon renewal, provide assistance in responding to questions related to contract compliance, processing, and management, and ensure contract data is correctly entered for upcoming renewals.
  • Policy Research and Analysis: Conduct policy research work and data analysis in multiple areas with a strong focus on legislation and efforts by federal, state, and local governments, and document and process timely compliance reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field - Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in general procurement arena, at least 5 years of experience in State or Federal government purchasing or contract management and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Skills: Knowledge of security policies and procedures for technical contracts, previous experience developing program guidelines, policies, and procedures, and strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PPT).
