Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Executive Officer (FEO) to join our leadership team at our latest hospital initiative. The FEO will oversee and manage the comprehensive financial operations and daily fiscal responsibilities of the institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the timely and precise completion of monthly financial reports, including operational summaries, certifications, disclosures, and forecasts.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and addressing variances.
  • Confirm that accounting and operational policies, as well as internal controls, are established for audits with no significant adjustments or deficiencies noted.
  • Prepare the annual operating budget and engage in the strategic planning process, including ongoing variance analysis and necessary adjustments to meet budgetary objectives.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and managed care reimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate payments and revenue recording.
  • Regularly review revenue cycle metrics to identify and resolve issues impacting overall performance, including timely collections and minimizing uncompensated care.
  • Actively participate in Front End Revenue Cycle processes, ensuring thorough insurance verification and collaboration with financial counselors for accurate patient cost determinations.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure supply costs remain within budgetary limits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field with a major in Accounting is required; a Master's degree or CPA designation is advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years of successful experience in a CFO role within a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with proprietary healthcare systems is a plus.
  • Candidate must reside within the service area.
  • Exceptional financial analysis capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in software applications, particularly Excel and Word.
