Position Summary
We are looking for a Sales Compensation Manager to enhance our Sales Compensation team. This role operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting global Sales teams. Reporting to the Director of Sales Compensation, you will oversee a team of 3-5 direct reports. Your responsibilities will include the development, implementation, communication, and management of Sales Compensation-related quotas, plans, and policies. Successful candidates will be proactive, effective communicators, adept problem solvers, and focused on process enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development and management of essential project plans aimed at improving automation, consistency, accuracy, and integrity of compensation systems and operations.
- Foster partnerships and gather feedback from internal stakeholders to create effective, scalable processes and practices.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership development for team members.
- Analyze sales performance metrics to evaluate, recommend, and manage compensation outcomes.
- Ensure a high level of customer service by promptly addressing inquiries related to compensation issues.
- Supervise monthly audit activities and processes to guarantee compliance with Sales Commission and Bonus policies.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in advanced Excel, particularly in modeling.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Finance, or other detail-oriented quantitative roles.
- At least 5 years of experience with systems such as SAP, Anaplan, Callidus, SFDC, or other SPM solutions.
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or senior role with a focus on coaching and mentoring team members, if direct supervision experience is lacking.
The salary range for this position across the U.S. is between $106,000 - $160,000. This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a competitive total rewards offering. Actual compensation will be determined based on various job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
