Job Summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a skilled Custom Picture Framing Manager to lead our framing team and drive custom framing sales. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing the skills of our framers, ensuring high-quality custom framing solutions are delivered to our customers on time, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach the framing team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive custom framing sales and increase customer engagement
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes, shrink, and safety programs
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training of new team members
  • Participate in performance management activities and talent development initiatives
  • Interact with customers in a positive and respectful manner, providing solutions and assistance as needed
  • Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure efficient and safe operations
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous custom framing experience is preferred
  • Retail management experience and experience leading a sales team are also preferred
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and outdoor work may be required for tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses.
