Job Overview

JCJ Services LLC is in search of a meticulous and dedicated Accounting Specialist to oversee our financial documentation and guarantee precise reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, experience in bookkeeping functions, and expertise in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about learning and evolving with our organization, demonstrating a readiness to adapt and enhance their skill set.

Primary Duties:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including daily transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Process payroll and ensure all employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage invoices and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by providing financial data and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying informed of existing and new legislation.
  • Collaborate with external accountants to prepare year-end financial statements and tax returns.
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are correctly categorized.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents.
  • Assist in financial audits as needed.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Familiarity with payroll and tax regulations.
