Senior Environmental Geologist Position

WSP is on the lookout for a Senior Environmental Geologist to join our dynamic Earth & Environment Team. This role is pivotal in managing a variety of projects that focus on environmental sustainability and geological analysis. You will be instrumental in conducting subsurface investigations, analyzing geological data, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data gathering for environmental evaluations.
  • Lead comprehensive site investigations and monitoring initiatives.
  • Create intricate data visualizations to support findings.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Compile detailed technical documentation and reports.
  • Evaluate geological and chemical data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Design and implement pollution mitigation projects.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop solutions.
  • Uphold ethical standards in decision-making processes.
  • Take on additional tasks as required.

About You:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or a related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of professional experience in geology.
  • Strong knowledge of geological research and environmental legislation.
  • Experience in conducting environmental assessments and remediation efforts.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in technical writing and analytical thinking.
  • Current in health and safety training protocols.
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible working hours.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Professional licensure or certification is required.
  • OSHA Health & Safety Training is a plus.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous.
