Senior Environmental Geologist Position

WSP is looking for a Senior Environmental Geologist to join our dynamic Earth & Environment Team. This role involves engaging in a variety of projects that contribute to environmental sustainability and geological analysis. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance in geological data evaluation, managing subsurface exploration, and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data gathering for environmental evaluations.
  • Direct site assessments and monitoring initiatives.
  • Create intricate data representations.
  • Guarantee compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Draft detailed technical documentation.
  • Interpret geological and chemical data to formulate action strategies.
  • Design pollution mitigation projects.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop solutions.
  • Uphold ethical standards in decision-making.
  • Take on additional tasks as required.

Who You Are:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or a related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of experience in geological practice.
  • Expertise in geological research and environmental legislation.
  • Background in environmental evaluations and remediation efforts.
  • Strong skills in project management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in technical writing and analytical thinking.
  • Current with health and safety training requirements.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Professional licensure or certification is necessary.
  • OSHA Health & Safety Training is a plus.
  • First Aid and CPR training is advantageous.
