Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient eligibility and insurance plan benefits through online payer portals and outgoing calls to insurance companies.
  • Complete benefit verification forms in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Follow established department procedures to ensure timely completion of benefit investigations.
  • Communicate with internal Patient Financial Services staff and external practice managers when inaccurate demographic information is provided.
  • Review and update demographic and insurance information in the EMR system.
  • Support and actively participate in initiatives designed to improve individual and organizational performance.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of work experience in medical insurance verification is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
