Your Role:
We are seeking a Senior IT Auditor to conduct IT, SOX, and operational audits, ensuring assurance over essential IT areas such as Infrastructure, Information Security, Organizational Change, Application controls, IT operations, and emerging technology risks including RPA, AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud technologies. In this role, you will leverage your IT risk expertise to provide valuable recommendations to business partners, enhancing the effectiveness of the IT and business control environment. As a member of the Internal Audit team, you will contribute to the Global audit plan and the execution of departmental initiatives aimed at advancing Internal Audit programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk-based IT audits, including integrated audits (operational), in line with departmental audit methodologies and IIA standards.
- Assist in SOX assessments regarding the design and operational effectiveness of General Information Technology controls (GITC) that support financial reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure effective communication and resolution of internal control issues.
- Support the IT Audit Senior Manager or other project managers throughout all phases of assigned audits, including planning, walkthroughs, testing, documentation, control design assessments, drafting audit findings, and verifying the closure of audit issues.
- Prepare audit planning documents, announcement letters, and work programs to ensure comprehensive coverage and analysis of critical areas.
- Contribute to the preparation of audit reports upon completion of fieldwork.
- Analyze data sets to create appropriate audit samples and identify trends that provide key risk insights.
- Lead meetings for assigned audit areas, engaging with all organizational levels, and fostering improved relationships with process owners and business unit management.
- Partner with IT collaborators to identify and assess risks, establish mitigation and control plans, and understand cross-functional IT control impacts.
- Communicate audit results, recommendations, and key messages to Internal Audit management and relevant business partners clearly and concisely.
- Provide timely status updates to the IT Audit Senior Manager and/or project manager.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality deliverables within efficient timelines and with minimal supervision.
- Support the Information Technology risk assessment process to identify current and emerging risks and develop the annual IT audit plan.
- Travel may be required up to 10%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or Accounting).
- 3+ years of audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 Public or National Accounting firm, or equivalent business experience.
- CISA certification is preferred; other audit, security, or technology certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are advantageous.
- Demonstrated understanding of core IT general control processes.
- Experience in Audit, SOX Compliance, Consulting, Accounting, or related business activities.
- Experience conducting risk-based integrated audits (IT & operational).
- Familiarity with modern technologies such as RPA, AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud is preferred.
- Understanding of IT SOX requirements, IT control frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO27001, SOC2, etc.), and related business process control activities.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to articulate audit observations and improvement opportunities effectively.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as ACL, IDEA, Tableau, Excel, SQL, and Alteryx.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and a balanced approach to professional skepticism.
