Chargeback Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively analyze and process all customer claims as they are recognized.
• Collect all customer invoices and deductions/claims.
• Audit customer deductions for validity, credit, and/or chargeback customers.
• Process and post authorized credits.
• Audit all customer deductions and chargebacks and collect on all the monies due from customers.
• Apply cash receipts to customer accounts.
• Code checks correctly when customers deduct for short ships, violations, programs, freight, and discounts.
• Prepare and submit weekly statements to customers for collection and reconciliation purposes.
• Pursue payments in the form of collection correspondence, delinquent statements, and phone calls.
• Perform credit collections on past due accounts in the range of current to over 180 days past due.
• Work in conjunction with the Credit Manager and assist the Cash Specialist as necessary to ensure proper application of customer remittance.
• Prioritize accounts and work flow to meet management goals.
• Communicate work in process and final collection disposition to the appropriate A/R and credit staff.
• Interface with Management to assure expeditious review and approval on program funding, and other customer deductions, so credits can be issued in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate accruals.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience managing AR functions including Chargebacks, Deductions, and Rebates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, formulas, etc.).

This is a fully onsite role located in Parsippany, NJ.
