Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I to join our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) team. The successful candidate will assist patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutritional needs, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutritional needs
  • Provide routine treatments and maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment
  • Maintain safety and security of patients, families, self, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Assure patient privacy, rights, and confidentiality
  • Follow standard precautions and wash hands between patients
  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
  • Take and record vital signs, food and fluid intake, and output as directed
  • Obtain data and accurately document pertinent patient information
  • Recognize and communicate safety concerns regarding the patient's condition to the RN and other members of the healthcare team
  • Participate in handoff report and purposeful hourly rounding of patients
  • Provide exceptional service and care to all patients, families, customers, and team members
  • Maintain a clean, neat, safe, and organized nursing unit
  • Transport and deliver items, equipment, blood products, and medications throughout the facility
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must obtain BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire
  • Prior experience within healthcare highly preferred
