Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician I to join our team at our Orlando, FL laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare samples with accuracy and precision in accordance with SGS' analytical SOPs
* Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met
* Maintain a safe working environment and follow safe laboratory practices

Job Functions

* Independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies
* Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments/equipment
* Assist with validation and MDL studies
* Input and maintain technical information as needed to support laboratory functions/operations
* Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable
* Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
* Basic knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and analytical methodologies
* Ability to maintain a safe working environment
