Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist, Reg I to join our team. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with breathing disorders, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide ongoing care and support.
- Equipment Operation: Select, assemble, check, and operate respiratory equipment, including non-invasive ventilators and pulmonary diagnostics.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and precise documentation of patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and test results.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other respiratory therapists, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Quality Control and Maintenance: Perform quality control and maintenance tasks on arterial blood gas analyzers, specimen collection equipment, and other respiratory care devices.
- Education and Training: Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences, or equivalent.
- Licensure and Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in the State of Florida, and current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Experience: None required, but prior experience in respiratory care is preferred.
