Logistics and Procurement Specialist
Position Overview:
The Logistics and Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain operations, focusing on the planning and acquisition of materials and products to fulfill both corporate objectives and client needs. This position requires collaboration within a team-oriented environment, providing support across various departments as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee supply chain management, ensuring efficient planning and procurement processes.
- Analyze and optimize inventory levels in alignment with company policies and targets.
- Utilize MRP systems to generate purchase orders and track their status.
- Assess production demands to commit to new sales orders and delivery timelines.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and analyze data to support decision-making processes.
- Implement and uphold safety, health, and environmental (SHE) objectives within the facility.
- Provide sensitive information and feedback to vendors and customer service teams.
- Create comprehensive reports and information packages for management review.
- Monitor material master data and ensure accuracy in SAP records.
- Assist colleagues with overflow tasks as needed.
- Keep meticulous records and develop presentations for various stakeholders.
- Manage stock levels across multiple warehouse locations.
- Ensure smooth flow of purchased inventory.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to identify challenges and devise effective solutions.
- Adapt to various roles within the supply chain as required by operational demands.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in supply chain management.
- Experience in production planning, purchasing, and SAP is preferred.
- Strong team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Desire for a challenging and intellectually stimulating work environment.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel and formula creation.
- Strong communication and analytical abilities.
