Highmark Health - Senior Financial Insights Analyst. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive financial and business-related research and analysis, including the preparation of forecasts and evaluations of financial statements, records, and trends. The role involves developing and maintaining advanced spreadsheets and databases to support analysis and reporting, as well as leading and documenting financial analysis initiatives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with various departments, locations, and divisions.
Engage with other departments and external agencies to address and resolve issues.
Communicate project status and completion timelines to management across the organization, subsidiaries, and affiliates.
Provide management with insights on expected outcomes and suggest improvements.

Deliver presentations to all management levels summarizing financial analysis and trends.

Conduct in-depth financial and business-related analysis.
Evaluate and interpret relevant financial and statistical data.

Develop and document business policies, conduct specialized financial studies, and collaborate with other departments in the preparation of analyses.

Perform financial and business-related analyses and research, including the preparation of forecasts and trend analyses.
Examine financial reports and records.
Offer explanations for variances and make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
Independently tackle fundamental problem-solving tasks and document recommendations for management.
Facilitate analysis and reporting processes.
Utilize technology to input, retrieve, or display financial information.
Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases.
Act as a project lead for special initiatives within the department.

Oversee and document financial analysis projects, including the preparation of ad hoc reports, which involve data gathering, analysis, documentation of findings, calculations, and report generation for distribution.

Coordinate activities to ensure projects progress appropriately and are completed within established timelines.

Make recommendations based on analytical findings when necessary.
Other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

  • 10 years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Finance, including experience in leading projects of varying size and complexity.
Proficiency in various computer applications, including MS Excel and/or MS Access.

Pay Range Minimum:
$67,500.00

Pay Range Maximum:
$124,800.00


Base pay is determined by various factors, including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
