Job Summary:

The Senior Claims Adjuster - Workers Compensation will be responsible for investigating, negotiating, and resolving workers compensation claims in accordance with policy provisions, best practices, and jurisdictional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyze claims to determine liability and extent of damages
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and insureds
  • Develop and implement claims handling strategies to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, attorneys, and other adjusters
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with claimants, insureds, and other external stakeholders
  • Manage multiple claims simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with claimants, insureds, and internal stakeholders through written and verbal correspondence
  • Identify and report potential fraud or suspicious activity
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, insurance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in claims adjusting, preferably in workers compensation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in claims handling software and systems
