Division Manager-Behavioral Health & Veteran Services

Job Summary:

The Division Manager-Behavioral Health & Veteran Services is responsible for leading the Behavioral Health and Veterans Services Division within the Human Services Department. This role oversees the planning, organization, and coordination of division activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social services, program management, and leadership, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve division goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Behavioral Health and Veterans Services Division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Develop and implement division plans, goals, and objectives, aligning with the Human Services Department's strategic plan.
  • Oversee the management of division staff, including supervision, training, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure effective service delivery and coordination.
  • Develop and manage division budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  • Represent the Human Services Department and the Behavioral Health and Veterans Services Division at community meetings and events.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in social services, program management, and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health and veterans services, including program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Working Conditions:

The work is performed in a typical office environment, with frequent field trips to locations throughout the county and region. The employee is required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
