Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Certified Peer Counselor to join our Behavioral Health Program in Everett, WA. As a Certified Peer Counselor, you will provide behavioral health support, education, and resource services to individuals referred to our Child and Family Behavioral Health Program.
Responsibilities:- Provide case management services to assigned consumers, including collaborating with natural supports, community partners, and service providers to facilitate referrals and follow-up supportive services.
- Assist therapists and case managers in developing outcome-based treatment plans, crisis plans, and discharge plans that ensure ongoing safety in the community and maintenance of clinical treatment benefits.
- Provide education and support to clinical staff and others about the recovery process and the damaging role that stigma can play in undermining recovery.
- Assist recovering persons in identifying their personal interests and goals in relation to recovery and integrating into the community.
- Collaborate with primary clinicians to develop and implement treatment plans, provide support and back-up to other team members and their clients, and participate in clinical consults and staff meetings.
- Must be a consumer of service within Washington State's mental health system.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
- Must be a Certified Peer Counselor in the State of Washington and have a current TB test and CPR certification.
- A competitive hourly rate of $20.00.
