Cohen Industrial Supply is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Management Trainee to join our team. As a Sales Management Trainee, you will be responsible for managing projects, tracking sales orders, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, and issue resolution.
- Maintain regular contact with general contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to budget.
- Coordinate with production teams, procurement, and shipping/receiving to ensure materials are built, ordered, and delivered as per agreements with contractors.
- Prospect for new sales opportunities through outbound calling and emailing.
- Provide product pricing by consulting with estimation/procurement departments, vendor price lists, and multipliers.
- Procure and maintain inventory levels necessary to fulfill project requirements.
- Work at the sales counter to serve in-store customers as assigned.
- Contribute to add-on sales by maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
- Handle customer inquiries and problem resolution when an outside salesperson is not available.
- Perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Exhibit a positive attitude with the willingness to learn and grow.
- Be willing to be cross-trained with the understanding that working in a small business often requires wearing multiple hats.
- Be personable and able to maintain good relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable indoor area where there is frequent opportunity to move about.
The initial training requires the ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds and to climb ladders.
