Job Summary

This is a part-time, Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Political Science, developing curriculum, and providing academic advising to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Political Science, including lectures, discussions, and assignments.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Provide academic advising to students, including guidance on course selection, career goals, and academic progress.
  • Participate in departmental and college committees, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Engage in professional development, including attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Political Science or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience in higher education or one year of teaching experience and three years of employment in the field.
  • Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies, including technology integration and student-centered learning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Flexibility to teach classes at various times and locations.
