Adjunct Faculty in Drama

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Drama courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will possess a mastery of course content, demonstrated leadership skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, submitting required college reports, and utilizing a course syllabus. Additionally, they will meet with students, evaluate their progress, and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and the community.
This is a part-time position, contingent upon student demand, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. The work schedule will vary depending on class time, and instructors are required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.
Responsibilities- Teach Drama courses at a variety of times and locations
- Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
- Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
- Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
- Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
- Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
- Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
- Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
- MA or MFA degree in Drama or Theatre, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Drama
