Lone Star College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Computer Information Technology courses, with a focus on Microsoft System Administration. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT and experience in teaching or training in a related field.
The ideal candidate will have a mastery of course content, demonstrated leadership skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. They will also be able to appreciate alternative viewpoints and work effectively with a wide variety of people.
The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching Computer Technology courses at a variety of times and locations, creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, and submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the educational environment of the college and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Technology courses at a variety of times and locations
- Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
- Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
- Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher in an IT or Business IT-related field, and 3 years nonteaching work experience related to the course
