Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Physical Education and Kinesiology courses. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Recreation, Exercise Physiology, or a related field, and a strong commitment to teaching and student success.

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including physical education and kinesiology, at a variety of times and locations. The successful candidate will create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, and will utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people. They will also have a commitment to diversity, and the ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints.

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned, and will be expected to maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physical Education and Kinesiology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Recreation, Exercise Physiology, or a related field
  • Strong commitment to teaching and student success
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Commitment to diversity and the ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints

Salary and Benefits:
